a village . . . or rather a kingdom

Life has been very full. Full of love, snuggles, and an abundant amount of support!

It’s been quite evident that our children (and their folks) live in a very active village. We open our door each day to home cooked meals, genuine offers of assistance, and generous gifts. It’s so humbling! Yet, I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised . . . this is the life of Christ’s church.

Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35

Jesus Christ loved, so we must love in return!! We have been surrounded by love and service through the body of Christ (His Kingdom Stewards). We are called to be “good stewards of God’s grace” (1 Peter 4:10).

I love the summary of the Christian’s life, as described in 1 Peter 4:7b-11.

“Therefore, be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another . . . in order that in everything GOD may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
