still full of thanksgiving

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” James 1:17

The goodness of God’s perfect and righteous Will continues to flood our hearts with exceeding joy and humility!

It’s been two weeks and three days, since we met the most remarkable woman. Little did we know on that day, how quickly she would find a place in our hearts! Yet, now looking back, it seems the most likely of things . . . admiring a stranger so deeply, when they so graciously give you the most precious gift! God kindly orchestrated that my sons’ birth-mom had the courage and love to not spare her own heart and love, but graciously gave Wiley and Owen a gift unlike any other; one that cost her heart dearly!
Sacrificial love is costly.
Sacrificial love is concerned more about others than self.
Our story of adoption, is only a mere glimpse of the ultimate story of adoption in the Bible. God’s Word is a picture of the sacrificial love of God, who sent his righteous Son, as our Gift. Through the gift of Christ’s death on the cross, we too, have been adopted as sons and daughters of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Without the intervening hand of God, none of us would have been able to live the life we were created for! BUT “God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
“He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” Romans 8:32

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ . . . In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.” Ephesians 1:3-6
